Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

 

The 2021 Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Basic Life Support (BLS)
 

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to quickly assess recognize and care for cardiac arrest provide high-quality CPR and use an AED to optimize patient outcomes. Designed for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital healthcare clinicians this training is consistent with the 2025 evidence-based science guidelines and covers additional life-threatening emergencies including respiratory arrest drowning opioid overdose myocardial infarction life-threatening bleeding and obstructed airway in adults children and infants. Participants complete an online course followed by an in-person session led by an Instructor or self-directed solution that includes knowledge-based learning and hands-on skill practice. Participants are required to successfully complete the online course and final exam and demonstrate skill competency during skills practice and testing scenarios to earn an American Red Cross Basic Life Support certificate valid for two years.

Lifeguarding
 

The Lifeguarding course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in both shallow water (less than 7 feet) and deeper water (7 feet or more) and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the assigned online portion(s) (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to each instructor-led session. Participants who successfully complete this course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (including deep water) with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. Prerequisites: 1. Minimum age: 15 years; 2. Complete a swim- tread-swim sequence: Jump into the water submerge resurface swim 150 yards (using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both) maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs then swim 50 yards using the front crawl breaststroke or a combination of both. 3. Complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds by starting in the water swimming 20 yards surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point holding the object at the surface with both hand exit the water without using a ladder or steps.

American Heart Association Courses

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. Based on the latest American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

Basic Life Support (BLS)
 

The BLS Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings, as well as individuals enrolled in a healthcare training program. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Lifeguard Training
Community CPR/AED & Standard First Aid 

An international renowned, hands-on lifeguard course that is highly interactive and physically enduring. The course is a comprehensive training program that promotes objective driven and performance based training for individuals wishing to obtain a new ILTP™ certification for shallow water, pool, special facilities, and/or open water, in various water depths ranging from less than 5` feet of water up to any depth and/or open water. Our International Lifeguard Training Programs (ILTP™) are designed and intended to be delivered as part of an integrated curriculum that includes water rescue techniques, First Aid, Health Care Provider CPR, Emergency Oxygen Support, and Automated External Defibrillation as a first responder.  This course requires students to perform each concept taught in the course, through student demonstrations of all skills concepts and skills instructed.  Students will participate in lifeguarding roles throughout the class and are expected to perform lifeguard duties as first responders.  Students will perform on deck and in water simulations, drills and exercises for rescue techniques as an individual and in team scenarios as part of multiple rescuers drills.  The ILTP Lifeguard course materials are available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai and simplified Chinese languages.  Students that successfully complete the ILTP Lifeguard course obtain an ILTP certificate that is valid for one (1) year. Annual renewal is required. Successful candidates can earn anywhere from 2.2 to 2.6 IACET CEUs depending on the level of certification achieved in the program. 

This is a course for the general community desiring national CPR/AED and Standard (Basic) First Aid certification at the community level. The course is a comprehensive educational program promoting objective driven and performance based training that has an integrated curriculum. The curriculum’s first aid component includes training in scene and victim assessment, caring for injuries, caring for medical emergencies, injury prevention, and emergency moves. The curriculum’s CPR component includes training in adult and pediatric CPR, using an automated external defibrillation (AED), caring for airway obstruction, and preventing and caring for heart attack and stroke.  This course satisfies the required medical content defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for workplace CPR/AED & Standard First Aid training.  The course is ideal for individuals seeking certification for job requirements, as well as those just desiring to learn lifesaving skills and information. This hands-on course covers content defined by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and promulgated through the publication of the “CPR and ECC Guidelines by the American Heart Association. Students receive the most current content through a variety of educational methods, and must practice the required lifesaving skills on manikins and through simulations, drills and exercises to earn certification cards.
